As an actor, I do well in "character" type roles. I have been cast in such roles as the constantly drunk and rowdy troublemaker Sir Toby Belch in "Twelfth Night", the wise-cracking Carlo (Chico Marx) in "A Day In Hollywood/A Night In The Ukraine", the 70 year old oblivious Londoner Fred Craddock in "You Say Tomatoes", and the melancholic Venetian merchant Antonio in "The Merchant of Venice".
I have served as assistant director to a few shows at RCT, ("Wonderful Life" and "Broadway Bound"). From there I directed Shakespeare's "As You Like It" for the Rome Art & Community Center this past summer. My latest directorial venture was working with an original script by Nancy Stark called "War Rhythm". I thoroughly enjoy directing, specifically combining all the component pieces together with the driving vision and watching magic happen as a result. Currently, I am producing and directing a romantic comedy, "Once Is Enough", for a dinner theater show to be performed at the Utica Maennerchor.
I have done work in other areas of live theater, including production, set design/construction, stage managing, costuming, lights/sound, and am currently serving on the boards of two live theater groups: Rome Community Theater and Hartford Players Youth Theater.
